Playing it Safe?

Okay, the title could be anything but the real subject is trust!  Not just any trust but trusting in God.

So do you trust in God? Or do you just trust Him for the little things? Or do you really think He is not really listening?

The big problem for most of us is that to trust you really need to give up control. I don’t mean just saying that you trust someone, but I am saying really fully trust God with everything from your relationships, your money and everything in between. A relationship that is done by God will be the greatest of relationships, and as for money God truly will provide! Giving up control is something that each of us really has a problem with. But to really start to have that deep relationship with God, that He wants, you must give up control.

In doing this you show that you trust that God will take care of everything, but you must also understand that God’s plan may be different than yours.

The closer you get to God the more your plans, wants and desires will line up with His.  Don’t ever think that your plan is better than God’s because it is not. His plan is perfect, ours are always flawed.

This kind of trust does not come easy and it does not come overnight. This type of relationship can take years to really develop.  But when it does, you will find that His Word is true and what He tells you will happen 100% exactly as He has said. Your worry and fear and everything else that is negative will leave you because you understand that God is in control and that His plan is perfect.

Now God may tell you something that will happen in the future and most people would think that is great but remember this, although that is a blessing, usually it involves growth, teaching and lessons to be learned by you, and that can be very difficult! If you do receive this kind of prophetic word you are most likely going to be taught patience, endurance, and trust.  In the end it will be fantastic, but the journey may be tough.

Trust, how much do you trust God?  It should be 100% with everything,  and if not then start working on that right now, without that trust you will miss out on just how deep and beautiful your relationship with Jesus Christ can be, and that is something you do not want to miss!

“Trust in the Lord with all you heart and do not rely on your own understanding”. Proverbs 3:5
